The Genesys Cloud Media Development Group is responsible for our cloud-first media and telephony platform. This platform includes audio and video protocols, media control, device management, and business logic. We are seeking a Principal Software Architect to join our team and help us achieve our strategic vision.Key ResponsibilitiesEffectively lead in the architecture, design, and implementation of the organization’s software development strategy.Provide day-to-day leadership of Agile software development teams including planning, design, development, implementation, security, tool and technology selection, and validation of the company’s flagship SaaS product.Exhibit a high technical aptitude and excellent engineering capabilities.Quickly dive deep into the product and engineering solutions.Embrace and help incubate new technologies and products.Conduct Design and Code Reviews to ensure compliance and standards.Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Ability to lead team meetings and ensure effective messaging and utmost clarity among team members and to leadership.Instill a positive attitude with the desire to partner with other leaders, peers, and organization members.Exhibit a high level of professional and technical curiosity. Be passionate about identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.Collaborate with leaders of other Genesys organizations to represent needs of this team and align to achieve company goals.Help establish a high-energy, highly productive, professional development environment.Who you are  10+ years of experience with enterprise-level full-stack software development (or advanced degree and 8+ years of experience)8+ years of experience managing and leading software development teams5+ years of cloud and Cloud Architecture Experience (AWS)Deep understanding and previous experience dealing with real time audio and video protocolsDeep understanding of audio and video devices, carriers, data centers, and network infrastructure equipment used to transport audio and videoExcellent organizational and motivation skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCompensation:This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
