Job Summary:THE JOBTicketmaster is the global leader in advanced ticketing technologies, helping more than 12,500 event organizers across 30 countries get tickets into the hands of fans for concerts, sports games, comedy shows, theater, and more. This role will be responsible for creating and executing a cohesive communications strategy supporting our business in Mexico, Central America and South America, including B2C communication and our B2B line of business across all major client segments. This is a highly collaborative role requiring confidence to engage and build consensus with functional leaders at all levels. The VP will engage with our regional Market Directors, global product marketing, product and tech teams to develop communications strategies that drive impact. The position will report into the VP, Communications for Ticketmaster.WHAT YOU WILL BE DOINGLead regional communications efforts across four countries within the Latin American territory (Mexico, Brazil, Chile, Argentina) ensuring alignment with global business objectives.Work alongside divisional leadership and in close review with Global Communications to develop proactive announcements that drive business goals and highlight the company’s latest technology solutions and products to enhance ticket sales and event management.Build and maintain strong relationships with regional business leaders to advocate for local needs, global alignment and open lines of communication. Act as local media expert to shape and execute communications campaigns in support of expansion into new markets, local product launches, commercial initiatives and more. Collaborate with B2C and B2C marketing to review content across public-facing channels including copy for blogs, social channels, newsletters and more.Develop and nurture strong relationships with trade and regional media.Draft, distribute and pitch press releases and other media materials. Track and report on efforts.Draft media briefing documents and staff interviews to ensure adherence to Ticketmaster’s key messages.Serve as a key lead in development and execution of crisis response and issues management in the LatAm region.Engage Ticketmaster clients, coordinating media announcements and campaigns with communications contacts across teams, leagues and venues.Draft and distribute talking points to support the client development organization and operations.Develop and manage award submissions and speaking calendar in support of business objectives.Support special projects that contribute to Ticketmaster’s brand recognition.Collaborate on broader Global Communications team projects as directed.WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS)Minimum of 15+ years of communications experience required, emphasis on media relations, corporate communications, or social media strongly preferred. Must be an excellent writer, proofreader and translator across English and Spanish.Experience and understanding of the live entertainment, ticketing and/or tech industries is a major plus.Exceptional verbal and presentation skills; demonstrated ability to synthesize complex information and present it in a clear, concise and conversational manner.Strategic thinker with proven experience of delivering results with impact.Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and adapt to rapidly changing business needs.
