What You’ll Do
We’re seeking a Vendor and Procurement Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the entire vendor relationship lifecycle, including strategy development, supplier selection, contracting, purchasing, supplier performance management, risk mitigation and planning for business continuity, including:
pursuing innovations in procurement systems and procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency
supporting internal stakeholder in ongoing supplier management, including renewal and service expansion
working with IT and Tech departments to ensure maximized use of existing resources and suppliers, conduct synergy analyses and reduce instances of duplicative supplier relationships (i.e., the engagement of two suppliers that provide identical products/services)
leading negotiations with suppliers to secure advantageous, innovative contracts that are uniquely tailored to fit business needs while ensuring alignment with company policies and legal requirements
conducting risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies to minimize potential contract-related risks
lead the development and implementation of contract management strategies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective contract execution
support internal stakeholder in the management of escalation and ad hoc supplier relationships
perform procurement reporting and analysis of management information to develop initiatives in cooperation with other departments to deliver year-on-year cost reductions and/or performance improvements
Who You Are:
Bachelors’ Degree in an applicable field (business, law, supply chain management, etc.) is required, advanced degrees (e.g., JD) a plus
5+ years of experience in contract evaluation, drafting and redlining, through to execution independently
5+ years of experience with supplier management
5+ years of experience with general and technology related contracts including Software as a Service (SaaS), hardware, software licensing, professional services, etc.
Excellent negotiation skills, attention to detail, organization and time management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
In depth knowledge of contract law, legal terms, and negotiation techniques, experience independently negotiating complex contracts through to execution
Experience working with, implementing and expanding the use of internal third-party risk management and procurement tools (knowledge of GraphiteConnect a plus)
Experience negotiating privacy and security language in agreements (or interest in learning)
Experience developing departmental strategies and RFI/RFP processes and questionnaires
Strong transactional background, with extensive experience working cross functionally on a global scale
Hard-working, proactive, entrepreneurial and able to apply sound, pragmatic judgment in ambiguous situations
Thrive in a fast pace environment and effectively manage competing timelines
The successful candidate’s starting salary will be determined based on a number of non-discriminating factors, including qualifications for the role, level, skills, experience, location, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at DV. The estimated salary range for this role based on the qualifications set forth in the job description is between $83,00 - $158,800. This role will also be eligible for bonus/commission (as applicable), equity, and benefits.
