What You’ll Do As a Principal Data Engineer in our Data Architecture team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the data landscape for Archer's product and enterprise initiatives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data is accessible, secure, and optimized for advanced analytics. Your responsibilities will include: Contribute to the design and implementation of a data architecture strategy that outlines principles, standards, and guidelines for data management. Establish data governance practices, including data stewardship, data quality management, and compliance measures. Develop data integration frameworks and pipelines to support seamless data movement across the organization. Design, create, and maintain data lakes and data warehouses to store and manage structured and unstructured data. Drive company-wide standardization for data cataloging and metadata management to enable data discovery and understanding. Orchestrate the creation, maintenance, and optimization of data pipelines, ensuring alignment with business systems and security protocols. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure data pipelines are robust, scalable, and efficient. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify key data sources, data needs, and priorities for analytics, including technology selection. Implement data governance policies and security measures to protect sensitive information and ensure data quality. Champion a data-driven culture across the organization, fostering data literacy and analytical capabilities. Identify opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence and machine learning in data analytics and reporting. Develop protocols for managing company intellectual property (IP) within AI/ML models to safeguard proprietary information. Work with the Data Analytics team to integrate ML modeling toolkits into the low/no code platform to enable seamless development and deployment of machine learning models. Document existing data architectures and data flows to ensure transparency and knowledge sharing. Provide guidance and expertise on data engineering best practices, standards, and techniques. What You Need Minimum of 15  years of experience in data engineering, architecture, and integration. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proficiency in data technologies and platforms, including data lakes, data warehouses, ETL processes, and data governance. Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, SQL, and any other relevant languages that facilitate data engineering. Experience with REST APIs and data integration techniques. Knowledge of data security best practices and compliance requirements. Familiarity with artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex data issues. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. We drive a pay-for-performance culture and reward performance that supports the Company’s business strategy. For this position we are targeting a base pay between $163,200-$204,000. Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
