Job Requisition ID #23WD74217Position Overview Autodesk Research, an industry-leading design and technology research organization, is looking to work with an AI and computational design researcher to develop the next generation of design tools and AI-powered workflows. You will explore methods to create, train and evaluate new datasets and models to measure quantitative and qualitative aspects of physical spaces. This will involve working with and building new predictive AI systems with LLMs, images and 3d model datasets. You will work with the Human-Centric Building Design team at Autodesk Research, a group of multidisciplinary researchers that explore how design of physical spaces affects human experience and well-being.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and prepare framework for working with large image datasets Build and train new image-based AI models Develop new spatial analysis metrics using computer vision and machine learning models Work with multidisciplinary team of scientists and designers to apply new AI models and metrics to design applications and recommendations Produce research output/findings for potential publicationMinimum RequirementsPhD candidate in AI or computational design field with expertise in machine learning, computer vision and architectural design for human well-being Proven application of computer vision or other machine learning analysis models to large images/video datasets producing research output (ie. papers, tools, recommendations or new training sets) Python, dataset preparation, applications of large image models, training new machine learning models Computation design, generative design, generative AI, spatial analysis, architectural simulation, VR/AR applications Familiarity with 3D modeling and real-time visualization tools (Autodesk Revit, Autodesk Forge Viewer, Unity/Unreal)Broad knowledge of computer vision algorithms Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
