Chances are that every single one of those interactions, every single one of those experiences, was touched by an Adobe product.We are seeking an experienced backend software development engineer with a background in building distributed systems. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and maintaining robust and scalable backend systems that power our real-time personalization marketing engine. Adobe Journey Optimizer includes an omnichannel orchestration canvas which allows marketers to harmonize marketing outreach with one-to-one customer engagement. The position is located in Paris.  What you’ll do:  Design, build, maintain and operate backend services supporting Adobe Journey Optimizer.  Operational excellence: with a production-oriented mentality, deliver high quality features that scale and with required observability. This also implies building and maintaining part of the test stack at different levels: unit, integration, and end-to-end.  Collaborate with global multi-functional teams, including front-end developers, data scientists, and product managers, to understand requirements and deliver solutions that meet business objectives.  Identify and solve issues in distributed systems, including debugging and resolving production incidents.  What you’ll need to succeed:  3-5 years of experience as a backend developer.  The candidate should be fluent in Java.  The candidate should be comfortable with English oral and writing communication. French is a plus. We operate the code we write. Hence, the candidate should be willing to be involved in operational aspects of software in production (on-call shifts, monitoring, alerting)  We release using a pure CI/CD model. Each pull request goes right to production; it creates a new version of the product that is deployed instantaneously for all our customers. Therefore, high sensibility to code quality and automated tests is required.  Experience with building REST APIs.  A first contact with technologies such as MongoDB, Kafka, Aerospike, will be a plus.  Exposure to machine learning and AI in general is a plus.  Knowledgeable of secure, scalable, and highly available service development practices.  Confirmed ability to develop robust, efficient, high-quality code.  Ability to solve and resolve problems using appropriate tools and techniques.As our many awards will tell you, at Adobe you’ll be immersed in an exceptional work environment that is recognized around the world.
