We’re seeking a Patent Counsel who will help support and drive NVIDIA's patent related intellectual property functions and operations. You will be reporting directly to the Director of Intellectual Property and work closely with the entire legal team. We value partnership, teamwork and creative thinking.Our highly-respected legal team provides innovative legal solutions to help make NVIDIA the world leader in visual computing. The work we do impacts some of the most consequential mega-trends in technology today (i.e. virtual reality, artificial intelligence, self-driving cars, etc.). As the business partner for one or more software and hardware groups, you will be responsible for providing intellectual property support on a wide variety of issues. You are business-minded, passionate about technology, a team-player, and eager to help NVIDIA succeed in a variety of new and exciting markets.What you’ll be doing:Driving the process of obtaining patent protection for Nvidia innovations. This is accomplished through advice and counsel to Business Unit clients on patent filing and acquisition, invention identification and harvesting, invention disclosure submissions, and prosecution of applications.Working closely with inventors and Outside Counsel to ensure compliance with Nvidia guidelines and quality standards.Partner with other members of the legal team on varied intellectual property matters, such as assertions, patent portfolio valuation and assessment in the course of mergers, acquisitions and IP licensing agreements.Develop subject matter expertise and lead team client counseling for a specific IP active area.Develop and deploy Patent Department policies, practices and tools.What we need to see:You will have a technical undergraduate degree, particularly EE or Computer Science degree and 5+ years of experience.An Israeli, US or European patent attorney or patent agent registration is required.Extraordinary communication skills: written and verbal, organizational abilities and attested attention to detail.Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp complex technical and legal issues, and adapt to evolving situations.Proven track record of working effectively in a team.Ways to stand out from the crowd:You'll have experience in the software or semiconductor industry and familiarity with computer networks, chip architectures, programming, high performance compute or artificial intelligence.Demonstrate a real passion for innovation, technology and learning.NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers.
