The Workday User Experience Design teams deliver consumer-style experiences for complex business transactions.About YouDemonstrated ability to build strong stakeholders relationships in the past, often at director levelDraw on your mixed-methods research background to identify, assess and prioritize research opportunities expertly, create and owning research roadmap planning and managing expectations with stakeholdersAbility to take ambiguous, complex problems and drive new research initiatives to help solve themUnderstands how business connects to design, and how to align research strategies with business goals and objectivesDetailed knowledge and understanding of evaluative, generative, quantitative and secondary research methodsDemonstrates flexibility and creativity in research methodology selection, and the creation of models and frameworks to explain user behaviorExperience leading on complex research projects and directing the work of more junior researchersExperience influencing product strategies and/or vision using research insightsProvides impactful coaching for more junior researchers, giving actionable feedback and recommendations on their workGuides designers and product managers on research strategies that are aligned with business objectivesAdvocates for the value of research to stakeholders and leadershipYou are able to work 50% of the time from the Boulder officeWhat you can expect:An opportunity to make your mark, working directly with customersAn opportunity to practice (or even create) multiple methods per the research needs you identifyA chance to use design thinking methodologies to generate ideas and align stakeholders with UX practitionersLeadership who will support you and develop your career growthA UX research community of practice to collaborate with, and opportunities to help evolve and improve itOpportunities to be mentored by other experienced practitioners, and mentor researchers early in their own careersResponsibilities:Identify key research questions and objectives in partnership with product, design, and development teamsDesign and execute research studies using appropriate research methods for the project, timelines, and business needs, using research methods that span from usability to co-creation workshops to ethnographyConduct surveys, secondary survey analysis, such as in-app and external surveys, and feature prioritization surveys (i.e. MaxDiff, Conjoint, Kano)Analyze data and findings to define actionable insights for both short term and long-term product developmentPlan and deliver research programs within budget, timeline and project requirementsSocialize, collaborate, and present research work and findings to multiple teams and leaders, across the organizationAbility to visualize and present research data simply and clearly to diverse audiencesBasic Qualifications:Masters degree/PhD in anthropology, sociology, psychology, human-computer interaction (or other related field), or a Bachelor's degree with 4+ years experienceA minimum of 2 years professional experience conducting researchKnowledge and understanding of evaluative, generative, quantitative and secondary research methods, and proficiency in at least one research methodologyA strong familiarity with the product development processOther Qualifications: Track record of translating research into business impactEffective interpersonal skills with experience presenting to diverse audiencesA flexible and effective influencing styleAbility to meet bold timelinesSelf-starter and strong finisher with a positive demeanorExcellent collaborator, at ease partnering with other researchers, designers, product managers, and developersDirect experience and understanding of Financial products and services and general analytics (e.g. BI or Data Management ETL)Workday Pay Transparency Statement The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
