Senior Financial Analyst - India ControllershipDescription -Role:Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to solve complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Leads and - or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers - clients. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. May provide mentoring and guidance to lower level employees.Education and Experience Required: First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification e.g., CA, CPA, MBA preferred.Typically 8+ years of experience as a financial analyst.Typically experienced in more than one finance function including taxation.Strong knowledge of HP systems, including SAP ERP and various data flowsIt’s an external facing role and will have a lot of work with consultants, ability to manage deliverables to stakeholders keeping timelines in mindExpected to manage multiple stakeholders both internal and external. Should have demonstrated decision making capabilities in the prior rolesKnowledge and Skills: Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one areaIFRS and Ind AS awareness to the extent required to manage both internal and external audits and day to day controllership responsibilitiesAbility to analyse large sets of data, perform key reconciliations, solution orientedRequirements under Corporate lawsGood knowledge of taxation laws both direct and indirect taxes. For instance, provisions and compliance requirements around TDS and TCS, various filings, multiple returns, dealing with notices etc..Excellent analytical skills.Excellent business application skills e.g. Microsoft ExcelExcellent communication and influencing skills.Growth and digital mindsetSuperior teamwork skillsStrong business acumen.Good project management skills.Prior working experience with large audit firms will be an added advantageAutomation related initiatives in the roles prior will be an added advantageResponsibilities: Provides complex and occasionally highly complex financial analysis for a financial function or a business, typically exercising a strong understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives.
