Smart Contract Engineer

The Uniswap Protocol is the largest decentralized trading and automated market making protocol (often called a DEX, “Decentralized Exchange”) on Ethereum.   The Uniswap Labs team was a major contributor to the Uniswap Protocol and now focuses on building a suite of products to support the Uniswap Labs ecosystem. Our team is one of the most impactful in crypto. We are headquartered in SoHo in New York City with the option to be partially or fully remote depending on the position. We are looking for a junior smart contract engineer to help us build the next generation of the Uniswap Protocol. You will be responsible for implementing and designing smart contracts for the next generation of the most popular decentralized trading protocol on Ethereum. Responsibilities: Contribute to the Uniswap protocol by designing and implementing smart contracts Research, apply, and invent new smart contract paradigms Design and implement peripheral mechanisms to the Uniswap protocol Research and contribute to Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs) Participate in discussions from the initial product ideas to launch Build and maintain low level backend services that interact with the Uniswap Protocol. Requirements: 1+ years of experience building and releasing production-grade Solidity contracts 1+ years of experience working on blockchains, consensus algorithms, p2p, or applied cryptography Deep knowledge of Ethereum, the EVM, and broad understanding of the Ethereum roadmap Strong understanding of different blockchain designs, their tradeoffs, and the cryptography underpinning blockchains Strong computer science fundamentals Nice to Haves: Experience in Go, Rust, or a similar language Degree in math or computer science Experience implementing complex math in Solidity Love for unicorns :) Experience with cloud infrastructure, networking or orchestration with AWS (e.g. Docker, ECS, CDK, DynamoDB) Minimum full-time salary of $145,000-$195,000.
