Archer is an aerospace company based in San Jose, California building an all-electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft with a mission to advance the benefits of sustainable air mobility. What You’ll Do: Develop battery control systems for Archer's high voltage battery management system. Design the control architecture necessary for safe and efficient flight. Work in model‐based design environments to create, test and validate battery control and estimation algorithms. Work with cross‐functional teams to design, implement, and verify battery management and charging system features at component, subsystem, and aircraft levels. What You Need: Minimum Education: Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field. Minimum Experience:  Senior Battery Controls Engineer, Senior Battery Algorithms Engineer, or any occupation or job title in which 5 years of experience in design and implementation of battery cell estimation and/or high voltage battery diagnostic algorithms was gained. Alternate Education: Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
