Apple's RF Systems Engineering team is looking for a passionate, independent expert with a proven track record in the area of phase locked loops. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications We would like you to have 3+ years of proven experience in RF, including solid expertise in cellular PLL architectures. You have extensive experience in specifying, simulating and designing PLLs and clockdistribution including the mathematical background to define and assess the underlying algorithm and procedures. Experience in defining sequences for controlling digital and analog parts in transceiver architectures Strong problem solving skills You have basic knowledge of cellular radio standards on physical layer (GSM, UMTS, LTE, 5G NR), and their implications on RF/PLL specifications. Excellent communication skills, both written & verbal. English Language skills are also required for this position. Description Description In this role, you will be part of the best-in-class cellular RFSE Team. You will work closely with transmitter and receiver architecture teams, RF design teams, design and drive PLLinnovations with focus on innovative performance under real-life conditions and clear differentiation from other solutions. Your daily work includes the following tasks:
- Defining and specifying control and sequencing algorithms for PLL and clocking architectures for RF communication systems
- Break-down of the requirements of the communication standards and overall system into requirements for the PLL building blocks.
- Definition of hardware / firmware algorithms with focus on area and timing optimized solutions
- Implementation and simulation of algorithms inMATLABand C++.
- Develop concepts to improve and optimize control and sequencing architectures.
- Prepare specifications as input for design teams.
- In case of errors seen in verification, support multi-functional teams to resolve issues Education & Experience Education & Experience BSEE or MSEE is the foundation of your successful career to date.
