Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 6+ years of embedded software development experience Experience with hardware development and hardware debugging (oscilloscopes, soldering, jtag debugging) Experience on at least one robotic platform (industrial manufacturing, manipulation platforms, surgical, drones, etc) and good understanding how these systems are architected Proficient in C/C++/Assembly and comfortable applying it at any layer of the software stack Experience with computer architecture fundamentals or low level OS development Experience with safety critical systems or real time systems is a bonus Experience with ARM architectures is a bonus Description Description Help develop critical aspects of product capabilities and software from the ground up. Define hardware/system architecture for critical aspects of apple products Support software through all stages of product development Work with low levels of the software stack from boot all the way up to application and algorithms Education & Experience Education & Experience BS or MS in software engineering or have equivalent industry experience in a relevant subfield (robotics, computer vision, artificial intelligence, machine learning, computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering) Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
