Supply Planner - Contract ManufacturingStatus: Exempt (salaried)                                                                  ​Department: Purchasing/Supply ChainPosition Summary:The Supply Planner is responsible for ensuring raw materials, components and sub-assemblies are delivered to the appropriate Plug production sites to support production needs, at optimal efficiency.  This role will work closely with the Sr. Supply Planner to ensure smooth material flow and efficient supply chain operations within our contract manufacturing network by assisting with the daily management of released work orders to the Contract manufacturing/ offsite production areas according to the production plan. This person must be highly skilled at working with cross-functional departments to coordinate efforts and ensure timely system transactions. The ideal candidate for this position should be experienced in balancing constraints, scheduling, and coordination of efforts within a technology manufacturing operation. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer-focused mindset to effectively coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers.Core Duties and Responsibilities:Collaborate with the senior supply manager to develop and implement supply chain strategies for contract manufacturing, ensuring the timely availability of materials to meet production demand.Maintain a detailed understanding of production schedules, inventory levels, and demand forecasts to facilitate effective supply planning and order management.Communicate and collaborate with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing for all orders.Monitor and track order status, from material requisition to delivery, to identify and resolve any potential supply issues or delays.Coordinate with contract manufacturers to obtain production schedules, capacity constraints, and other relevant information to optimize material supply planning.Proactively identify supply risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential disruptions or shortages.Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Production, Quality Assurance, and Logistics, to ensure alignment and effective execution of supply chain activities.Support the senior supply manager in generating reports, analyzing data, and providing insights on supply chain performance and improvement opportunities.Perform other related duties as assigned.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Operations Management, or a related field or equivalent experience required.4 to 5 years of previous experience in supply planning, contract manufacturing, or a similar role is preferred.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and leverage data to drive decision-making.Excellent communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrated fluency in MS Office including MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel (V-Look Ups and Pivot Tables) required.Current or prior experience with inventory management & forecasting required.Experience with ERP, MRP and SAP required; experience with Cognos or SQL are highly desired.Experience working in a production planning or either in a Retail or Manufacturing environment is highly desired.Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.Willing and able to travel up to 20% based on the needs of the business.Estimated Base Salary Range:$22.12 - $31.68
