The GPU started out as the engine for simulating human creativity, conjuring up the amazing virtual worlds of video games and Hollywood films.We are seeking a creative and hands-on leader of a Technical Program Management team to help us take our autonomous vehicle software out to the world and enable our customers to use the technology we are developing. You will work with hardworking and dedicated multi-functional TPMs and engineering teams across various vehicle subsystems to integrate their work into our autonomous driving application, and to ensure our software is developed to the highest standards of quality. The mission is to help define DRIVE SW application development plans and implement them including setting goals, tracking progress and presenting clearly to upper management.What you will be doing:Lead a group of technical program managers to ensure consistency in process and uniformity in reporting status to senior leadershipContribute to the scheduling, tracking and reporting of specific work products from the autonomous vehicles end-to-end application and performance team (hands-on TPM role); collaborate with program and engineering managers to coordinate release readinessManage risks and resolve issues that affect release scope, schedule and qualityEstablish metrics to assist with assessing the health of the releaseGuide the team on performing in proper agile/scrum mannerAssist in improving processes and procedures within the team. Help streamline day-to-day operationsRegularly communicate the program status and key issues to management and across the organizationWhat we need to see:8+ years recent Technical Program/Project Management experience driving the planning and execution of software engineering projects, and releasing commercial products; including at least 4+ years of TPM team management experienceBS/MS Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)Experience leading successful releases with short release cadence in a dynamic environmentExpertise in Agile and Scrum methodology and how to tailor these to the team.Consistent record of leading and successfully delivering organizational wide programs and projects as well as process improvements.Proven track record to evaluate and drive adoption of new and improved process workflows in medium to large organizationsExperience in successfully leading global projects across multiple time zonesExperience with Jira and/or Jama, to the point of being comfortable to instruct an engineering team how to use and execute using these toolsWays to stand out from the crowd:Demonstrated experience bringing a safety-critical software project to market and related lifecycle supportTechnical Program Management or systems engineering experience for large-scale mission/safety critical systems, specifically with autonomous vehicles, avionics or roboticsUnderstanding of embedded systems and the technology and algorithms involved in self-driving vehiclesExperience with new product introduction and program managing production oriented teamsPMP, Scrum Master certificationThe base salary range is 180,000 USD - 339,250 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
