Apple’s Insight team is looking for a Factory Onboarding Project Manager with relevant experience in manufacturing and supply chain processes & systems. This is a unique opportunity to learn about global manufacturing at Apple while contributing to the company’s operational excellence.
We are looking for a combination of strong project management and infrastructure knowledge in enterprise manufacturing data collection systems, in addition to strong communication and interpersonal skills. The Project Manager should be familiar with planning and implementing large-scale infrastructure projects. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications 8-10 years of relevant experience Proven experience with project management lifecycle methodologies Detailed project tracking and track record of achieving deliverables within tight time constraints Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects efficiently Demonstrable understanding of complex, enterprise infrastructure systems Ability to filter and distill relevant information for the right audience Self-motivated and proactive with proven creative and critical thinking skills Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills. Able to closely collaborate with numerous cross-functional global teams (spanning multiple time zones), and with external vendors Comfortable and efficient working in a fast-paced environment. Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of ambiguity Description Description - Establishing overall project plans for new factory site deployments, including defining the schedule, scope, risk analysis, and resource estimates.
- Communicating project progress to partners and ensuring tight inter-team coordination/communication and end-end visibility.
- Driving the project towards defined milestones with reviews and acceptance/approval criteria. Coordinating and supporting work across various teams and ensuring on-time delivery of the project.
- Acting as an escalation point for issues affecting the delivery of projects, and facilitating the resolution of issues where support outside of the project team is required.
- Collaborating with local Apple teams as well as with Apple external partners to enable and support coordinated efforts that impact global timelines for new site implementations as well as existing site retrofits/upgrades, and decommissions.
- Partnering with the IT Asset Management (ITAM) team in ensuring assets are properly tracked and updated throughout the assets’ lifecycle Education & Experience Education & Experience - Bachelors or Masters Degree pref in IT from a premier school
