Distinguished Technologist, Software EngineeringDescription -We are seeking an outstanding technologist to play a pivotal role in the development of HP Personal System's forthcoming platform. This platform is designed to support advanced customer products and services powered by machine learning and artificial intelligence.The role involves applying industry-leading expertise to strategize and architect the creation and implementation strategy of a cloud data and management pipeline. It will necessitate working alongside various teams and partners within the Personal Systems and Cloud Ecosystem Organization. The role requires independently determining the best strategies, techniques, and benchmarks to achieve objectives and aligning executive management with the plan.Responsibilities:Oversees the software engineering team to align with business and security strategies and requirements.Leads the building of standards, designs, and automates the deployment of software.Design and develop solutions that protect and manage software products and data.Drives technology strategy and engineering roadmaps around software engineering.Executes strategic engineering proof of concepts around software engineering.Serves as a mentor to less experienced engineers and team members.Knowledge & Skills:Demonstrated ability to organize a team around the collection and analysis of input from multiple sources (customers, sales, engineering, marketing, competitor, and management).Comprehensive experience in software development, systems engineering, or software.Strong leadership and innovation skills.Industry expert regarding development of software applications design tools and languages.History of innovation with multiple patents or deployed solutions in the field of software applications design.Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.Experience in overall architecture of software applications.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to effectively communicate product architectures, design proposals and negotiate options at the most senior organizational levels.Education & Experience:Typically requires a minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 12 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 8 years experience; or equivalent experience.
