We embrace diversity in thought and contribution and are committed to providing an equitable work environment. that is foundational to our core values as a company and is vital to our success.Job SummaryActs as a lead in providing commercial management oversight across UK Operations capital construction projects and operational expenditureJob ResponsibilitiesLiaising and collaborating with various stakeholder groups within UK Operations (Ops) and Finance, Legal, Procurement, Real Estate, Corp Dev, critical areas of responsibility will include the following:Ops Capital Construction ProjectsContract compilation and administration – inc liaison with LegalPreparation of pre-tender works estimates, business cases and budgets for individual projectsManagement of the tender process, including value-for-money benchmarking Change control and management of contract variationsPeriodic valuations and final accountReview contract documents for execution and provide inputs to Legal where requiredResolves complex contractual claims and disputes (e.g. extensions of time, final accounts) by gathering information and preparing materials from comparable situations to address a claim Capital l Expenditure (Capex) BudgetCompilation, approval, and management of the annual capex budgetChange control and commercial governance Management and control of the cashflow forecast for recurring capex and non-recurring capex projectsVendor management & on-boarding of new suppliersReview and optimisation of existing vendor framework agreements and contracts (VFM test and challenge)Operational Expenditure (Opex)Review and optimisation of existing vendor framework agreements and contracts (VFM test and challenge)Identify savings opportunitiesMonitoring and tracking of Opex spending in assistance with budget compilationBudget & ReportingLiaises with Finance to provide timely input to quarterly forecastsMaintains accuracy of interim forecasts, keeps Finance abreast of changesManages and drives accuracy of forecast data by Project ManagersProduction of Management Information to provide timely, accurate reporting of Capex and Opex status, forecasts, threats and opportunitiesMajor Construction Projects Provide commercial input, oversight and governance as/where required to assist larger value, higher risk projects led by Global Design and Construction.Why should you apply?
