This position will be the business partner to a cross-section of teams throughout our Asia-Pacific (APAC) team. As we continue to invest and expand in APAC, we are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to be the first HR partner to  join our APAC team and contribute to the growth and success of our tech organization. The focus of the HR role is to assess, coach, and influence business leaders. This person will closely partner with their HRBP partner based in other countries, ensuring that those HRBP’s are pulled in early to give their insight directly to the regional leadership  to support and inform their decision making. This position is responsible for providing HR advice to the business, successfully influencing, and supporting strategies to meet business objectives. The role requires deep partnership with our country-based leaders and global HR partners and should be adept at cross-functional partnership and communication. Responsibilities: Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance Work as an effective liaison for employee relations situations with management, including the development of performance improvement plans and terminations Collaborate with Local HR to effectively manage compensation and salary planning programs per local practices and policies to ensure a fair and competitive program Support delivery of HR priorities & processes, manage communication of HR programs, including benefits Execute performance management cycle, recognition programs, employee engagement and coaching/development efforts Provide performance coaching to our people leaders Support the cyclical HR programs such as talent review, performance reviews and engagement survey Support the business growth through job architecture design and new role evaluations. Partner with the compensation team on job codes, job descriptions and compensation packages Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing processes and strategies in the APAC region (specifically India and the Philippines) Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between APAC operations, People Ops and the executive team Facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration between APAC and the global People team Enable employee professional development by supporting managers with career coaching conversations and where appropriate, having direct 1:1 conversations with employees Support projects and process improvement initiatives across the HRBP team Qualifications: Minimum of 5+ years of HR experience, specifically in India Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience Business Level English Language (Writing & Speaking) Ability to work independently in a remote environment Excellent multitasking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and collaboration skills Excellent communication, coaching, strategic thinking abilities and project management skills Strong presentation and facilitation skills Strong skills in Google Sheets, Docs, and Slides Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Curiosity to learn and support additional projects, as needed Ability to maintain confidentiality Approachable, customer service focused, collaborative team member Strong business and HR acumen, including strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking and analysis, experience consulting on complex performance management cases Ability to demonstrate high-judgment, empathy, autonomy, and flexibility with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment What You’ll Love About Apollo Besides the great compensation package and culture that thrives in openness and excellence, we invest tremendous effort into developing our remote employees’ careers.
