Job Requisition ID #23WD74065Position OverviewThe role of the Technical Sales Specialist is to discover, document, and present how Autodesk's solutions can help our customers achieve their desired outcomes. You understand the capabilities of Autodesk solutions, and you can work across the portfolio to help our customers find the pieces they need. You will work with an extended team of internal sales professionals and external channel partners to increase revenue and help customers succeed. You will perform deep technical demonstrations with end-users and be part of high-level conversations with executives, tailoring the dialogue to match. You have a consulting mindset; understand BIM, VDC, and Construction challenges; and can define and demonstrate solutions. You are probably already an Autodesk customer, but you're also a trainer and an evangelist amongst your peers, and you are comfortable presenting in front of two or two hundred. Your industry background will bring credibility, and your enthusiasm for technology is compelling.As a Technical Sales Specialist, you will work shoulder to shoulder with enthusiastic technologists like yourself in a company named a Top Place to Work and a Top Place for Innovators.If you're ready to make your passion your career, we'd love to hear from you.You will report to the Territory Technical Sales Manager in Denver, CO (hybrid).ResponsibilitiesPartner with Territory Inside Sales and Channel Partners to:Facilitate discovery workshops of varying sizes with our customers to help uncover business issues and drivers to use this information to connect Autodesk solutions to business outcome valuePerform in-depth assessments of customer processes to investigate, uncover and understand customer's business issues and desired outcomesUtilize knowledge of business trends, technology, and industry to identify areas of opportunity for customer process improvementUse Autodesk software, applications, and services together with other resources to define innovative solutions to customer's businessMinimum Qualifications5+ years of experience in the Architecture industryBachelor's degree in Architecture or closely related industryUnderstand the Design and Construction industries and knowledge of future trendsExperience with project workflows from design, estimation, and construction administrationUnderstand BIM for Construction and how to express corresponding benefitsProficient in RevitThe Ideal CandidateProfessional registration (P.E., AIA, etc.) and industry accreditation (LEED AP, AGC, CSI, etc.)Knowledge of Autodesk BIM Collaboration or Autodesk BuildComfortable presenting in front of large audiencesMust have credibility and respect at the executive level and be able to connect technically at the user levelRequirements gathering and discovery proficiencySales methodology or technical sales experienceExperience with competitive software within the industryLearn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk! For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $151,500 and $219,340. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range.
