As part of this position, you will be responsible for defining, measuring, analyzing, improving, and controlling information security data that is critical to our data-driven cybersecurity program.  Even though enormous amounts of data may be available, it is essentially useless if it is not cataloged and curated correctly.What this role is:As a Data Analyst and Curator, your main responsibility would be to use your technical, data, and security expertise and your communication skills to ensure the security, accuracy, reliability, availability, and currency of our Information Security data. The most significant aspect of this role is to establish the best practices to work with our Information Security data. This will help the technical teams to utilize the data efficiently and effectively to reduce and communicate Information Security risks.What this role isn’t:This role is not just limited to working behind the scenes. As our security data can be intricate, you will be responsible for communicating it in simple and understandable language so that it can be easily comprehended by people with varying skill sets. To deploy fixes at scale, teams need to have confidence in the quality of our data. Hence, it will be your responsibility to ensure that the team trusts this data.What you’ll bring to the table:In this role, you must be able to communicate across all levels of the business. You will also lead conversations, consult with teams, and use your knowledge to align the various stakeholders. This requires technical, coding, scripting, and data management skills. You must understand how the information security systems and IT management systems function, what data they contain, what data is incorrect or missing, and how to enrich the data using other sources to ensure our teams can effectively use it.Some details about what you’ll do:Produce high-quality dataEnsure stakeholders understand dataDevelop data management controlsOrganize dataOptimize data storage costsCollaborate with other IT teams to deliver projects on time, meeting all requirements without compromising quality and securityBe the subject matter expert and train teammates and other Genesys employees as neededRequirements:5-7 years of expertise in Information Technology with a focus on managing data at scaleFamiliarity with Information Security, IT Assets, Vulnerabilities, and the systems or processes that produce and collect these dataFamiliarity with Cyber Security Asset Attack Surface ManagementFamiliarity with database organization (SQL, MongoDB, etc.)Familiarity with the Linux command line environmentExperience with AWS, Azure, and/or GCPSome programming experience in scripting languages (e.g., R, Python, Perl)Experience with information security data management and analysisExperience with Tableau, or equivalent, and Excel.Can work independently and can collaborate comfortably in a matrix organization within a broader team.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including effectively participating in and sometimes leading discussions and meetings with internal management and other groups involved in technology control assessments.#LI-RemoteCompensation:This role has a market-competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range listed below. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location.
