Senior Director - Deals Desk

We are looking for a Senior Director to oversee our newly created Deals Desk within our Accounting/Finance organization. As the Deals Desk leader, you will partner with numerous business units to lead all aspects of and scale the deals process for optimal deal velocity, assess risk, and structure deals for new and existing business models.What you’ll be doing:Oversee all Deals Desk operations; through a combination of automation and standardization, scale the deal flow process for optimal deal velocityFind opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in deal managementPartner with Sales, Legal, Procurement, Tax, Treasury, FP&A and various Business Units to structure deals for new and existing business modelsNegotiate directly with customers or vendors regarding key financial terms as necessaryLead the risk assessment process for all deals, new customers, new vendors and ongoing risk assessment for existing customers and vendors.Ensure alignment with company policy and financial goalsLead a team of 4 Accounting deal reviewers – for both revenue and purchasing contracts. Review related accounting conclusionsWhat we need to see:Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience from a leading university in Finance or AccountingActive CPA or equivalent qualification18+ overall years with a combination of public accounting and related industry experience6+ years of people leadership8+ years with a technical accounting/contract volume focusDemonstration of continual management progression and leading of teamsExecutive presence. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels of the CompanyStrong US GAAP technical accounting baseStrong understanding of financial, legal and operational risksFamiliarity working in a public company SOX-compliant environmentAbility to work at the speed of lightWays to stand out from the crowd: Previous experience running a deals desk at a large tech companyNational Office tour in a Big 4 public accounting firmExperience collaborating across a large organization to influence and inspire changeEnergy and real passion for delivering results in a multifaceted growth company and fast-paced environmentNVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world’s most desirable employers. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits.
