We partner closely with the Executive Committee and functional leaders across Workday to drive strategic alignment in pursuit of healthy long-term growth and a bright future for Workday and our customers.About the RoleWe are looking for an exceptional leader to partner directly with C-Level Leaders & Executive Committee (“ECOM”) members to set and manage Workday’s long-term strategic direction.  As the Senior Director of Workday’s Corporate Strategy team you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future direction of the company, guiding Workday towards its next phase of growth and market leadership. You will be responsible for building and leading a high-functioning team to develop, articulate, and maintain the company's overall long-term strategic direction, working closely with the executive team and key stakeholders. This is a highly visible role with extensive cross-functional interaction.  You will partner closely with functional leaders to drive strategic alignment and ensure our corporate strategy is enabling key business objectives, acting as a strategic advisor and partner.  And you will help every Workmate see themselves in our strategy by enabling effective, values-based strategic internal and external communications.  As a thought-partner and strategic advisor to Workday’s executive team, it’s critical that you possess exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills. You must be able demonstrate the confidence, resourcefulness, and adaptability to clarify, advance, and drive stakeholder commitment to our strategic direction in order to achieve our business goals.About YouBasic QualificationsCreative and Pragmatic Strategy Development: ability to identify, evaluate, prioritize and sequence new vectors of growth and monetization opportunities for Workday, develop pragmatic strategies to capture these business opportunities, and enable hard trade-off and timing decisions  Strong Cross-Functional Collaboration:  Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse set of functional and business leaders,  build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, and effectively influence leaders across different functional teams to drive good strategic decisions for Workday  Exceptional Leadership:  Demonstrated ability to build and lead a high-performing and healthy strategy team, including providing mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members, and to rally a community of strategy practitioners and business leaders outside your reporting line to drive impact together Workday Values: Ability to thrive in a dynamic, results-oriented work environment and be aligned to Workday culture and valuesOther QualificationsMinimum 10+ years of technology strategy experience, ideally in enterprise software  Helpful to have background in Strategy Consulting and/or Strategic Finance  High intellectual curiosity, superior organizational, communication, presentation, structured thinking and conceptual problem-solving skillsPassion for building highly effective teams and organizational capabilities Workday Pay Transparency StatementThe annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below.  Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
