This individual is a key hire within eBay’s growing Global Consumer Insights team. This position reports to the Global Consumer Insights Director, Markets and Focus Categories, and will require:Key Responsibilities:With your strong research and insights technical skills, you will be responsible for designing, planning and managing primary and secondary, qualitative and quantitative research using the latest research techniques (eg agile, AI…).You will effectively collaborate with the senior management and serve as thought partner and consultant to the UK leadership team.You will work on complex business issues and on projects that are related to critical business needs (e.g., insights to influence a critical initiative).For the executive level in the UK, you will author reports and make informed recommendations to key senior business partners that lead to action. You translate insights into action and solutions to business problems and critical issues.With your ability to gain cooperation of others, gather diverse ideas across an org and align on a mutually agreed upon direction.​Requirements:Approximately 15 years of related work experience in research and insights with a particular focus on consumer and/or retail.Familiar with leading insights in a business in the UK and understand UK consumers.High level of eye for business. Understanding company strategy and priorities and management of insights work with this in mind.Ability to manage multiple projects of longer-term duration and supports multiple internal business partners, with effective prioritizations of efforts and resources.You can yield compelling growth-driving insights from research and analysis.Proven ability to distil actionable insights from complex data and explain findings in a compelling manner.You have an insights-informed point of view, provide clarity and put the customer voice in context, connecting the dots and inspiring action.You have an executive presence and the ability to influence eBay’s senior leadership in the UK and beyond.You have the ability to guide the strategic direction of the market with actionable insights and deeply rooted consumer centricityYou’re a business leader who brings relevant insights to guide decision-making.Don’t meet every single requirement?
