Confident in multiple technology concepts, such as firewalls, routers, switches load-balancers, etc, and is able to operate those technologies to an excellent standard. Possesses or able to achieve at least two professional qualifications in a relevant technology or vendor. Able to pursue and attain vendor certification to the intermediate-level (e.g. Fortinet NSE level 4). Able to be an SME in one relevant core technology vendor.ResponsibilitiesEngineering: - Execute and participate in proofs of concepts. - Evaluate and score vendor solutions against use cases for final selection. - Manage project timelines, executing deliverables in partnership with internal teams and suppliers. - Implement new solutions for both internal and external customers. Operations: - Manage day-to-day network and security operations, - Triage events and tickets for network and security operations incidents, being part of T2 team - Operate and troubleshoot firewalls, routers, switches, load-balancers, security device management systems, IDS/IPS, and DDoS mitigation systems. - Work in line with change control and configuration management processes. Incident Response: - Manage day-to-day network and security incident response, - Investigate, research, and analyze security incidents. - Use established procedures for incident remediation, escalating as needed for guidance. Innovations: - Continually improve network and security support services. - Enhance processes and procedures for optimum efficiencies and service quality. - Implement infrastructure performance and capacity tuning techniques. - Manage ECX Enablement deployment projects at a technical level. Policy & Compliance: - Follow processes to maintain security policies for internal and external customers. - Resolve intermediate customer security inquiries per documented guidelines. - Execute against compliance road-map relevant to each customer. Service Delivery: - Perform fulfillment for quote to cash transactional tickets. - Work in line with change control, problem, and configuration management processes. - Contribute to the successful delivery of departmental projects. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve roadblocks and identify root causes. Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related experience - Understanding of ITIL v3 framework, and relevant working experience - 3~5 years working experiences for Juniper Switches, and FortiGate firewalls, such as: VPN configuration, firewall policy changes, Adding/amending switch configuration Adding a new BGP (Border Gateway Protocol) peer Troubleshooting customer networks - Juniper and FortiGate relevant qualification (JunOS, not SRX) - Ability to achieve intermediate-level vendor certifications (e.g., Fortinet NSE level 4). - Holding current SC clarence or able to get SC clearence - SME (Subject Matter Expert) in at least one relevant core technology vendor.
