A major part of your role will be to help with the transformation of several data products into a consolidated enterprise data platform. By keeping track of industry best practices and trends, you’ll be expected to contribute to the continual improvement of the business’s data platform.WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGSupport developers with building optimal data model and queriesDesign, implement and support ETLs levering Databricks and create unified data model for analytics and reportingDevelop deep understanding of data sources to undersand how the business is using the dataPartner and collaborate across teams/roles to deliver results.Empower clients with self-serve reportingMentor other engineersDefine strategy to consolidate several reporting platformsAutomate testing, deployments, performance and recoveryEnsure high quality through automated testsDevelop on AWSWHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW (or TECHNICAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES)15+ years working in a data engineering department.10+ years of experience in DevOps environment.Demonstrated experience with Big Data platforms (Databricks, Spark)Demonstrated experience in building reliable and scalable ETL on big data platforms.Demonstrated experience working with relational database, column-oriented databases.Experience with data modeling conceptsExperience in dealing with large data sets and low latency data pipelines.Experience with production support (24/7 on-call)Good understanding of Data Mesh conceptsProficient with AWS, Kafka streaming, SQL, JavaStrong knowledge in Linux, network and file systems.Strong communication skills (verbal/written) and the ability to collaborate closely with remote team members.YOU (BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS/COMPETENCIES) Autonomous and proactive.Passionate about technology and transformation.Self-motivated activator, energetic and tenacious.Comfortable with working in cross functional and multidisciplinary teams.Excited about taking on challenging technical problems and devising creative solutions.LIFE AT TICKETMASTERWe are proud to be a part of Live Nation Entertainment, the world’s largest live entertainment company.Our vision at Ticketmaster is to connect people around the world to the live events they love.
