About the Role:
As a pivotal member of our team, you, as the HRIS Manager, will play a crucial role in the technical ownership and optimization of our Payroll, Absence, and Time modules within the Workday system. Collaborating closely with key stakeholders, including the Payroll and People Operations teams, you will identify opportunities for system enhancements and streamline business processes. Your expertise in US and Canada payroll processes, coupled with your commitment to compliance and efficiency, will contribute to the seamless operation and continuous improvement of our People Technology experience.
What You'll Do:
Be the technical owner for our Payroll, Absence, and Time modules and support the maintenance, integrity, optimization, and ongoing use and rollout of Workday at Upgrade.
Partner with key business stakeholders including Payroll and People Operations team to identify gaps and enhancement opportunities in our Workday system and business processes.
Demonstrate expertise in US and Canada payroll processes.
Design and maintain the Payroll Dashboard for efficient monitoring.
Enhance and manage the leave of absence plan types
Build and own employee time tracking for the Non-exempt employees.
Ensure compliance with FLSA Overtime regulations
Revamp employee bonus configuration to align with business goals.
Generate Year-end tax forms for both US and Canada.
What We Look For:
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Prior configuration experience with Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking.
Experience in payroll in US and Canada for exempt and non-exempt populations.
Solid knowledge of Workday functionality and data flow.
Experience documenting complex processes and presenting in a clear format.
Ability to create and manage reports and dashboards.
Basic knowledge of data privacy and HR data regulations.
Comfortable enforcing standards, governance, and maintaining confidentiality.

The compensation range of this position in San Francisco, CA is USD $150,000 - $180,000 annually plus equity and benefits. Within this range, an individual's base pay will be dependent on a variety of factors, including without limitation, job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
