The Smartsheet marketing team seeks an experienced Senior Content Strategist to join our Brand Studio. This role will be focused on managing the end-to-end, cross-functional strategy to grow and evolve our organic search content program - building content to drive traffic to our website and then move visitors through the buyer journey.  You know how to measure content performance throughout the marketing and sales funnel in order to drive efforts that deliver repeated business results. And you will lead and contribute to the development and optimization of SEO content and content-centered programs.  In this role you’ll leverage your knowledge of and experience with the content strategy process. From using performance data, competitive research, and cross-functional business goals and objectives to make strategic content and program recommendations, through to building an editorial calendar, managing multiple vendors, teams, and contractors to develop and launch the content, and monitoring and reporting on the performance to recommend optimizations that will have incremental impact. You are familiar with the tech sector, and ideally also have experience with business-to-business (B2B) communications. You’re strategic, empathetic, and know how to get things done. You like problem-solving and are motivated to figure out new ways to help a rapidly-growing business achieve its objectives within an increasingly competitive landscape. You will report to our Sr Manager, Content Strategy located in our Bellevue office, or you may work remotely from anywhere in the US where Smartsheet is a registered employer. You Will: Lead organic SEO content-centered programs with an eye toward audience, buyer journey, international markets, and measurable impact Analyze content performance to identify trends and make recommendations for optimizations and new content creation Partner with stakeholders, and collaborate cross-functionally, to build content that achieves business objectives (e.g. Web / Digital, Demand Gen, Business Intelligence, Finance) Track key market trends and competition to create the necessary content to address a shifting landscape Transform strategy into execution, by leading multiple vendors, contractors, and cross-functional partners to develop SEO content that drives website traffic for key audiences and use cases  Perform content gap analyses to determine what type of content is missing and what could be needed Create, adjust, and manage the editorial calendar for your program, and ensure it rolls into the greater Marketing calendar Track to and manage program budgets, and regularly report to the executives on program performance in order to maintain and/or increase budgets Produce written content on behalf of the Smartsheet brand that is consistent with our brand voice, style, and tone Support other duties as assigned You Have: 4+ years of experience in writing, content creation, and content planning 2+ years of experience in content marketing for enterprise B2B SaaS companies 2+ years  content strategy and program management experience Experience managing contract writers and editors Familiarity with current SEO trends and writing for organic ranking Familiarity with digital customer experiences and the buyer’s journey Knowledge of keyword research tools, search engine optimization, and search engine marketing Experience using SEO tools, Google Analytics, Tableau Strong communication and presentation skills Experience partnering cross-functionally with design, development, campaigns, product and product marketing, and sales teams Experience managing outside partners such as agencies, vendors, contractors Great planning, collaboration, and strategic thinking skills Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business marketing, communications, journalism, or other related field People management experience preferred, not required Perks & Benefits: HSA, 100% employer-paid premiums, or buy-up medical/vision and dental coverage options for full-time employees Equity - Restricted Stock Units (RSUs) for eligible roles Lucrative Employee Stock Purchase Program (15% discount) 401k Match to help you save for your future (50% of your contribution up to the first 6% of your eligible pay) Monthly stipend to support your work and productivity Flexible Time Away Program, plus Incidental Sick Leave US employees are automatically covered under Smartsheet-sponsored life insurance, short-term, and long-term disability plans US employees receive 12 paid holidays per year Up to 24 weeks of Parental Leave Personal paid Volunteer Day to support our community Opportunities for professional growth and development including access to LinkedIn Learning online courses Company Funded Perks, including a counseling membership, local retail discounts, and your own personal Smartsheet account Teleworking options from any registered location in the U.S. (role specific) Smartsheet provides a competitive base salary range for roles that may be hired in different geographic areas we are licensed to operate our business from. Actual compensation is determined by several factors including, but not limited to, level of professional, educational experience, skills, and specific candidate location. In addition, this role will be eligible for a market competitive incentive opportunity and RSU stock grant upon accepted offer.
