The Opportunity
Nexla is at an exciting inflection point, having already found product market fit, and is now hard charging into revenue growth through intensified go to market efforts. We recently hired our first Chief Revenue Officer to lead us into what will be a huge year for Nexla.
You will develop and execute the sales strategy to grow the region, creating a sales pipeline while also acquiring new logos. You’ll also work with strategic partners to cultivate and manage joint selling opportunities. This role is about high impact and will work closely with a variety of folks at Nexla including senior leadership – strong listening, communication and influence skills are required.
We’re looking for folks who have worked in or are heavily familiar with the data space, including the unique terminology, companies and major players, and won’t be intimidated selling to highly technical minds. You’ll need to accelerate customer adoption through education and engagement.
This is a great opportunity to flex your future leadership muscle and have a huge impact on the Sales team culture at Nexla. We’re currently in a rebuilding phase and looking for athletes who will champion a discovery based sales approach as well as create a cultural foundation of motivation, appreciation, and teamwork.
While things look super promising for Nexla, we are still a startup so we’re looking for folks who don’t need a manual on day one – virtually everything is being reimagined including our sales processes, pitches, discovery questions, and we are iterating in real time rapidly. More about what you will do in this role:
Within 1 Month, You’ll
Do a deep dive into the Nexla product and understand all the ins and outs, use cases, customer feedback, and why our current customers love us
Develop a strategic plan for your defined region, get it approved and start to hit the ground running on it
Within 3 Months, You’ll
Create a new sales pipeline of $500k
Do a fair amount of travel to meet with prospects, existing customers and industry related events based on our targeted verticals
Be an established thought leader in the data space
Establish yourself as a key leader in the Sales team
Within 6 Months, You’ll
Create $1.2M in cumulative new pipeline and close 2 new customer sales
Use your network to recruit great Sales talent to Nexla as your region grows
Effectively share with the rest of the Nexla team (particularly Product and Customer Success) what’s happening on the front lines in an effort to accelerate our success
Use your passion for winning and track record of results in your region to consider leadership opportunities as your region grows

This is a remote role with a fair amount of travel to customer meetings and events, including to HQ in the Bay Area (San Mateo) as needed.
Compensation Range
Base salary for this role is $150K. The OTE for this role is $300-$350K. Equity will also be offered. Health benefits including medical, dental and vision are available. Nexla also has a 401K program.
