Your Role:
This is an opportunity to join a Fintech startup at an exciting time! As an Accountant Associate, you’ll partner with the Securities & Crypto teams, and the Corporate Controller to perform a variety of accounting duties that include preparing, reconciling, and validating financial transactions and reports, various financial audits, month end and year end close processes. This person will assist with the continuation of building processes in accordance with GAAP and regulatory entities, find improvements with reporting, and offer accounting assistance to our back-office operations team.

Prepare to lead accounting divisions worldwide as we expand
Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany consolidations, reconcile deposits and custodial accounts, including maintaining procedures and documentation.
Support financial transformation initiatives to automate accounting processes
Manage the revenue accounting, including invoicing and accounts receivables process in compliance with ASC 606
Assist on the monthly financial reports and management information, including variance analysis and ad hoc financial analysis
Assist with required statutory and regulatory reporting for international legal entities, including Tax and VAT tax forms
Prepare standalone financial statements for international legal entities
Perform Daily and monthly reconciliations of international entity general ledger accounts and bank accounts
Daily and monthly reconciliations of all Back Office Reporting and bank activities
Assist with the Internal and external audits
Who You Are (Must-Haves):
Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred.
3-4 years of experience in financial & management accounting areas for Investment Firms
Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and international VAT and Tax
IFRS experience
Experience with ASC 606 revenue recognition accounting
IT literate with excellent and proven experience excel data analysis and reporting skills (Pivot Tables / Vlookup formulas etc.)
Strong communication and people skills and excellent command of the English language
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and reliability with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Must possess the ability to adapt to a changing business and regulatory environment
Enjoys challenges and taking ownership of new responsibilities
