Aerospace Battery Management Software Engineer

What You’ll Do  Under supervision of a senior engineer, conduct development and verification for certifiable safety critical software components of the aircraft battery management systems software. Participate in the definition and documentation of streamlined software development and verification processes supporting the certification of safety critical software to comply with DO-178C. Work with systems engineers to decompose item requirements into high-level and low-level software requirements in compliance with DO-178C. Work with a multi-disciplinary team to develop, integrate, verify, and certify complex hardware/software systems. Utilize knowledge of C/C++, safety critical software development standards (DO-178C, ISO 26262, ASIL) to high criticality levels (DAL-A/B or ASIL C/D), and Full Software Development Life Cycle (development through verification and certification/qualification). Utilize knowledge of communication standards and protocols (RS-422/485, CAN, ARINC-429, AFDX, Ethernet, TCP/IP, SPI, l2C, PCle etc.) MINIMUM EDUCATION: Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Systems Engineering MINIMUM EXPERIENCE:  Software Integration Engineer, Control Systems Engineer, Application Support Engineer or any occupation or job title in which 3 years of experience in Battery Management Systems/Software Development, Charge Control Unit, Cell monitoring and diagnostics, Device driver protocol experience, Unit testing experience, Processor, Hardware, and Software in the loop verification experience was gained.   At Archer we aim to attract, retain, and motivate talent that possess the skills and leadership necessary to grow our business.
