As a MLR Software Engineer you will support researchers with scalable ML infrastructure, ML experiments, and novel algorithm implementation and analysis. You will participate in the development of cutting edge ML technology that is both published at top-tier conferences and used by Apple products. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Expert in Python programming and experience with PyTorch and/or JAX Experience with distributed computing and scalable model training Experience in Applied ML Excellent communication skills Experience and passion to circumvent unexpected roadblocks Past research experience is a plus Description Description As a Software Engineer in this position you will work with researchers across Machine Learning Research to build scalable, distributed training and research software pipelines, implement research ideas into algorithms and assist with experiments and analysis of these ideas. Topic-wise the focus areas are Foundational Models Research, Interactive and Embodied ML, Reinforcement Learning, Reasoning and Planning. Candidates will need strong communication skills to work with a diverse set of researchers and partners to determine the right solutions for the problems. They will learn industry standard and custom tools/infrastructure to build these solutions.
We are looking for highly motivated, result-oriented engineers with a strong background in practical Machine Learning, Systems Engineering and Software Development to join our team. Experience in Foundational Models and Reinforcement Learning is a plus. In this position, you will help build and deploy software to solve a variety of high-performance computing needs including large distributed ML training and research into large-scale ML training. Education & Experience Education & Experience B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science or related fields. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700 and $300,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
