The Opportunity The Adobe Commerce Digital Experience is looking for a Software Engineer to join our team. We are seeking an experienced web application framework engineer able to design and implement sophisticated features of the Adobe Commerce platform.We're focused on driving market-leading B2B features, delivering the most seamless experience to both merchants and customers. From highly-performant APIs, to feature-rich UIs, our team's work attracts and retains the biggest merchants in the e-commerce landscape.We work in smaller product engineering teams. This allows us to be agile while working as part of a larger organization. Though we are established, in production, and iterating, there are plenty of challenges to overcome, decisions to be made, and new development to do.What you'll do Define, design, implement and deliver high-quality features for the Adobe Commerce Platform.Choose the best approaches of implementation by following software design patterns and coding standard methodologiesEnsure high quality by performing code reviews and providing sufficient automated test coverage.Take ownership and help improve the availability, performance, scalability, and security of the product. You’ll also ensure a strong emphasis on software backwards compatibility and cost of ownership.Keep high levels of Security and Compliance with the Adobe Standards.Work in a Lean-Agile environment.What you need to succeed 3+ years of software engineering experience.Strong programming skills including experience with PHP and JavaScript frameworks and librariesExperience covering code and functionality with static, unit, integration, API and functional testsExcellent Git and GitHub features knowledgeGood understanding of extensible and backwards-compatible development principlesGood knowledge of application architecture and software design patternsExcellent communication skills.As a plusExperience with Adobe CommerceExperience with headless and serverless application models, distributed systems architectureExperience with Docker, JenkinsOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $101,500 -- $194,300 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.
