If you are a creative problem solver with a passion for implementing practical, real-world solutions, we want to hear from you. What you’ll be doing: Creating an AI model that recognizes finger spelling, American Sign Language (ASL) and its dialects.Translate images into words and words into images—text and audio—to facilitate communication and information sharing within and between communities. Work with various NVIDIA software development teams including text, voice, and computer vision to create training datasets. Strong collaboration partner and ready to help develop this technology with us What we need to see: Pursuing a degree in data science or computer science Fluency in finger spelling and ASL with National Interpreter Certification Strong relationships within the Deaf community Exceptional project management skills – detail-oriented Ability to think creatively and work proactively in a fast-paced environment Excellent problem-solving skills Ways to stand out from the crowd: Familiarity and/or experience working with computer vision and natural language AI models, particularly with open-source frameworks/communities and CUDA-accelerated technologies. Demonstrated history of driving cross-functional and or team cooperation across entities, particularly in innovation. Demonstrated ability to work with agility and collaborate with sensitivity. Outgoing person who is comfortable in groups with people from different backgrounds and abilities. Prior experience working in a law firm, taking courses related to law or policy, or related advocacy work empowering underserved communities and populations.
