ServiceTitan is looking for a highly motivated attorney to serve as Associate General Counsel - Employment and Litigation. The Associate General Counsel will be responsible for counseling the company on legal risk and representing its interests in all types of pre-litigation disputes, litigation and administrative actions, as well as responding to subpoenas and requests for information. The Associate General Counsel will also be responsible for overseeing the labor and employment legal function, and partnering with the People team to elevate people management at ServiceTitan. The role will report directly to the Chief Legal Officer. This is a unique opportunity to build a function from the ground up, and work on novel issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.What You’ll Do:Manage all litigation and pre-litigation disputes, including employment, commercial and IP, in state and federal court as well as administrative agencies on behalf of ServiceTitan and its affiliated companies.Collaborate with the executive leadership team to develop strategic initiatives and policies related to employment and litigation.Oversee the labor and employment legal function, and partner with the People team to deploy employment best practices and compliance initiatives.Advise on a broad range of employment and contingent worker matters, including hiring practices, employee relations, diversity and inclusion, workplace investigations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.Implement foundational policies and procedures around responding to subpoenas, dispute resolution, eDiscovery and document retention.Develop and implement effective legal strategies to manage litigation risks and disputes, including managing outside counsel.Represent the company in legal proceedings, demonstrating exceptional negotiation and litigation skills.What You’ll Bring:Strong track record in litigation and employment law and a builder’s mentality.Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strategic approach to addressing complex legal issues.A willingness to tackle new subject matters, addressing both mundane and highly complex and sensitive legal matters.Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization and across a diverse workforce.Demonstrated ability to think strategically, be creative and analyze risk in an environment of change and ambiguity.Experience at working independently and have a proven track record of being able to work effectively, prioritize and manage multiple matters simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic, and highly engaged environment.Juris Doctor degreeAdmitted to practice and in good standing with one or more state bar in the US10-15 years of combined law firm and in-house experience at a U.S.-based company with at least 7 years of combined in-house employment and/or litigation experience.Be Human With Us:Being human isn’t about checking every box on a list. The expected salary range for this role for candidates residing in the United States is between $201,000 USD - $288,000 USD. Compensation for candidates residing outside the United States will vary by location and the specific salary range will be discussed during the hiring process. Actual compensation for an individual may vary depending on skills, performance over time, qualifications, experience, and location. In addition to the base salary, the total compensation package also includes an annual bonus, equity and a holistic suite of benefits.
