You will be empowered to develop strong and positive working relationships with colleagues at all levels. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working on a variety of different projects with cross-functional partners and teams, and wants to own a seat at the table!Responsibilities:Provide strategic legal support to eBay Advertising executives, business, product/technology, operations and cross-functional teams to execute a range of high-profile advertising initiatives, including:collaborating with internal team members to ensure legal compliance with applicable regulations, including FTC advertising and marketing regulations and applicable privacy and data sharing regulations (GDPR, e-Privacy, CCPA, etc.).drafting and negotiating complex deals with strategic partners to enable eBay Advertising programsdrafting online terms of service, policies and disclosures, andreviewing program-related marketing and other customer-facing materials.Build trust and drive strong, collaborative relationships with internal team members across the organization to identify and manage legal issues and risks during all stages of product/partnership development. Embed with those teams to monitor evolution and be an advocate for your clients on legal implications (or otherwise) as the product/partnership evolves.Keep up to speed on the latest developments in internet advertising laws, rules, and self-regulatory principles applicable to a digital commerce and media company.Qualifications:J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and membership in at least one US state bar.8+ years of in-house legal experience, preferably with the digital advertising industry.Demonstrated experience providing legal counsel to digital advertising teams and strong knowledge of the laws and industry standards in this area, particularly data privacy.Practical understanding of the online advertising ecosystem.Experience working closely with business development and product teams on strategic partnerships to ensure they align with company objectives and product roadmaps.Experience managing high project volume on deadlines with minimal supervision. Highly organized and energetic, able to navigate a fast-paced environment, and highly responsive to deadline-oriented clients.Must be a pragmatic, engaged, business-oriented problem solver who is driven to do better than the status quo.Benefits are an essential part of your total compensation for the work you do every day.
