Our team is seeking a researcher who is passionate about researching human self-motion perception, and helping the team to design and analyze human-centered user studies to inform hardware and software engineering decisions.
Candidates will have a solid research background and have made contributions to science through a combination of experimental and computational approaches.
Candidates will also have successfully designed unique experiments, built quantitative descriptive models using behavioral and physiological data, and possess a knack for pulling out novel insights. We are looking for a teammate with excellent interpersonal skills, and who has a dedication to conducting impactful research in a fast-paced environment. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Solid understanding of human visual and vestibular motion perception 3+ years experience designing and running user studies in the motion perception domain Solid understanding of design of experiments and statistics (GLM, ANOVA, regression analysis) 3+ years applying statistical and signal processing methods to multimodal time series, fluent in applying convergent methods across self-report, behavioral (e.g. eye tracking) and physiological data Fluent in data analyzing tools (e.g. Matlab, Python) Experience with visualizing data to stakeholders Creativity and curiosity for solving highly complex problems Excellent communication and collaboration skills Description Description We work on complex human self-motion perception problems. We are conducting state-of-the art research and aim to convert research findings into analytical models in order to derive engineering specs. The ideal candidate will possess the self-motivation, curiosity, and initiative to achieve those goals. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900 and $208,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
