Your primary mission is to capture imagery showcasing our products in studio and within real-world laboratory environments. Additionally, you will be responsible for retouching photos, managing our extensive photo library, and crafting photography briefs. You will collaborate closely with our in-house creative team to provide high-quality images for various projects and stakeholders, including studio portraits of executives and customers and event coverage. Proficiency in video editing, a solid grasp of studio lighting, and a keen eye for detail are essential attributes for success in this role.Key Skills and ResponsibilitiesCapture brand-aligned lifestyle imagery and product photography within laboratory settings, ensuring high-quality visual representation.Perform retouching and post-processing tasks to enhance the quality and aesthetics of images.Manage and organize our photo library, ensuring efficient retrieval and organization of visual assets.Collaborate with the creative team to develop photography briefs that align with project goals and storytelling objectives.Work closely with video editing software to create engaging multimedia content as needed.Utilize studio lighting techniques to achieve optimal lighting conditions for photography sessions.Collaborate with the creative operations team to ensure that there is a steady flow of photography opportunities and defined roadmap. Take appropriate action to ensure daily delivery schedules are met.Must be able to travel internationally for shoots.  Required Work Experience5+ years of photography in-house experience (biotech or medtech industry experience preferred but not necessary)Video production is a plus.Having e-commerce and digital marketing experience a plus.Strong people skills, approachability, credibility, motivation, confidence and resilience are qualities necessary to be successful in this position.Solid written and verbal communication skills.Strong organization and time management skills.Will need to work independently and be a team player to meet deadlines.Technical Skills Desired: Adobe CC (Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat), Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, and ExcelThis role is based in San Diego, CA.The estimated base salary range for the Visual Storyteller role based in the United States of America is: $103,500 - $155,300. Should the level or location of the role change during the hiring process, the applicable base pay range may be updated accordingly. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, an individual’s qualifications, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all employees are eligible for one of our variable cash programs (bonus or commission) and eligible roles may receive equity as part of the compensation package.
