Summary Posted: Dec 3, 2023 Role Number: 200526037 The Machine Intelligence Neural Design (MIND) Israel team develops on-device intelligent experiences through ML innovation. We focus on building differentiating experiences through research and development in multimodal machine learning with motion, vision, audio, and other sensors. Applications of our work include interactive technologies, health & fitness, and spatial computing experiences. Our team is comprised of Machine Learning Engineers, Machine Learning Researchers, and SW Engineers who work on creative experiences for Apple’s next-generation features and products. The team is seeking a dedicated ML research student. In this position you will join a team of researchers developing algorithms for innovative solutions for perception and interaction. Moreover, you will develop and evaluate algorithms in multimodal machine learning (including Large Language Models), computer vision and signal processing. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications M.Sc. or P.hd. student (final year B.Sc. student committed to pursuing a master's degree will be considered). Academic research experience and/or thesis in: Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, NLP, including Large Language Models. A great teammate with excellent written and verbal communication skills. At least 2 years of remaining studies. Proficient in Python and PyTorch. Experience in algorithm research and development - an advantage. YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Collaborative Research Projects: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams on research initiatives, applying machine learning techniques to solve complex problems. Work closely with experts from various fields to integrate machine learning solutions into Apple's products and services. Algorithm Development and Optimization: Engage in the design and development of machine learning algorithms, focusing on optimizing existing models or creating innovative approaches to address new challenges. Model Analysis and Evaluation: Conduct thorough data analysis to identify patterns and trends, and evaluate the performance of machine learning models. This involves refining models based on empirical findings and improving their accuracy. Innovation in AI Applications: Explore brand new advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence to contribute to the development of innovative applications and features that enhance Apple's product ecosystem. Publication and Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to academic publications and conferences. Education & Experience Education & Experience B.Sc, M.Sc, or Ph.D in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent degrees, with excellence in the domain of Deep Learning, Computer Vision or similar.
