Serves as liaison to employees and with third party payroll vendors to ensure payroll processing accurately reflects company specific pay policies. Audits employee pay records and reconciles totals by department, location, country, etc. Coordinates third party payroll system implementations and upgrades. Interprets pay policies, (e.g. Personal time off, LOA, disability, workers compensation, union contracts, government regulations, withholding exemptions, etc.) and ensures appropriate amounts/deductions are calculated and applied to the various accounts correctly. Verifies compliance with federal and state payroll requirements; stays current with changes in the law. May assist with audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filings and related documentation. Documents payroll processes and procedures; may train payroll department staff. May back up those who perform specialized tasks or activities such as stock option exercises, SEC document filing, or sales commission calculation reviews.ResponsibilitiesReviews data feeds from HRSSEnsures all employees are set up in payroll systemAnswers complex employee payroll inquires, escalating as needed and acting as a resource to Payroll AssociatesAnalysis of imports from Vendors and review of Associate entries for accuracyCollaborates with various teams to identify any payroll issuesAnswers complex payroll questions from cross-functional departmentsReviews results and makes corrections to the system, acting as a resource to more junior membersReviews and creates payroll file for transmission to vendorResponsible for managing the vendor(s) supporting. This includes negotiating contracts, staying abreast of system enhancements, submitting enhancement requestsQualifications3 years payroll experience in a multi-state payroll processing environmentExperience with ADP Payroll systemsPrefer demonstrated experience in process improvementPrefer Process and detailed orientedPrefer Business associate degree or equivalent work experiencePrefer CPP CertificationEquinix is an Equal Employment Opportunity and, in the U.S., an Affirmative Action employer.
