The Applications team is looking for an outstanding Machine Learning Engineer who will focus on building end-to-end modeling pipelines and developing innovative tools. Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Solid programming skills, with proficiency in Python or C/C+, Java, etc. Proficiency in working with distributed system, Hadoop, Spark, etc. Deep understanding of predictive modeling and machine learning algorithms for supervised and unsupervised learning including classification, regression, clustering, etc. Familiarity with causal inference models. Familiarity with deep learning algorithms: CNN/RNN/LSTM/Transformer, etc, and mainstream deep learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch. Experiences with Large Language Models and Generative AI. Able to solve problems independently, good teamwork and communication skills. Description Description As a machine learning engineer, you will be focusing on: - Working with large volumes of data; extracting and manipulating large datasets using tools such as Spark SQL, command line and scripting languages. - Designing, developing, validating and maintaining big data-driven predictive models, tools and pipelines to improve user engagement using latest technologies in machine learning, user pattern recognition, and data modeling based on user lifecycle events. - Collaborating with product, engineering, business groups to translate a business question to a machine learning problem and formulate innovative solutions to experiment and implement advanced data mining techniques. - Implementing state of the art machine learning models to improve business metrics and conduct end-to-end deployment. - Developing infrastructure tools to improve the development, deployment and the full lifecycle of machine learning models. Education & Experience Education & Experience Master’s degree or a PhD degree, with a minimum of 3 years of experience. Additional Requirements Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $110,200 and $198,100 annualized, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
