An Apple Originals Creative Executive has the ability to procure and identify exciting new material in the premium television space!
This is an exciting opportunity to join a small, international, specialist creative team who work on premium content with global appeal and reach. You’ll be working with A-list talent on screen and off, growing a slate of exciting new dramas.
We are looking for someone to help us continue our mission, on developing the German market for Apple TV+ Key Qualifications Key Qualifications Proven experience in scripted series development. Experience of developing and commissioning successful drama series’ for mainstream broadcasters and/or streamers, championing multiple projects from script to production. Fluency in both English & German is required. Extensive work experience in script editing, development is a must as well as ideally some exec producing experience. You will need to be credible and capable of offering creative input through production and in edit. A strong and relevant network with premium talent (producers, writers and directors) in Germany and considered an industry innovator within the creative community in Germany. Deep understanding of the global content landscape, particularly the SVODs Strong interpersonal skills and an understanding of how to collaborate closely with high end talent. A team-player, able to handle a myriad of responsibilities across a diverse slate of projects Description Description You’re responsible for scouting new projects in the German market, reading and evaluating submissions in order to spot the next Apple TV+ project. We are constantly building a network of talent relationships and spotting the next big trends in global scripted TV within Germany.
You’ll help to develop projects from treatment status to commissionable scripts, ready to be greenlit.
You’ll also help the leadership team provide creative guidance to producers and talent in the development of these shows, and be able to oversee these projects through production and post production.
Source and assess scripts, pitches and other underlying intellectual property for Apple TV+ Germany. Help your manager to guide producers and writers in the development of story and scripts.
Deliver story notes on development projects in order to develop a compelling slate of shows that resonate in market and travel globally. Meetings with agents and key talent to identify potential projects. Help to run all creative aspects of development, casting, production and post-production.
Attending script review meetings and helping with drafts. Researching books and providing notes where appropriate on IP. Being a person to go to for the wider European Apple TV+ team and also for the German media industry.
