Job Requisition ID #23WD73893Position OverviewAutodesk is looking for a Senior User Experience Researcher to join our Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC) Platform Team. Reporting to our User Experience Research Manager for AEC Platform, you'll help us develop UXR programs that support our AEC collection of software products. You'll be part of a larger user experience research team focusing on creating cohesive, scalable customer experiences, and inform product strategy, to support our AutoCAD, Platform Data, and Analytics teams. To be successful in this role, you will apply your advanced research skills, apply a strategic mindset and you'll collaborate with global teams across the company. You will be asked to influence stakeholders through strong partnerships. You'll be a customer advocate and you show experience with human-centered design. You'll use several research methods and work together with product teams to envision, validate, and ship high-quality experiences our customers will love.Job Role Location: Toronto, ONResponsibilitiesPlan and implement customer research throughout the design and development lifecycle, from early strategic direction through post-release validationEmploy different research methods to influence product and organizational impact, including generative design research and contextual inquiry, participatory design workshops, interviews, formative and summative usability studies, and quantitative methods, such as surveys and data analyticsDevelop relationships across the company to collect existing research and insights to inform your research projects and collaborate on end-to-end research that looks across the customer journeyLead empathy and design-thinking workshops with extended teams to ensure that findings are translated into actionable product and business goals and direction.Share customer insights with the broader organization in creative ways to increase customer empathyMentor others in the larger Autodesk research community, promoting research as a strategic driver for our products and servicesMinimum Qualifications5+ years of professional research experienceDemonstrated experience applying qualitative and quantitative methods to develop relevant insight that impact product strategy and developmentUp-to-date toolkit of research methods, with the experience to know when to be rigorous versus when to be lean and scrappyExperience collaborating with a wide set of team members and partners, including designers, product managers, and software developersAble to work in a fast-paced Agile environmentExperience presenting research insights and results to extended team members, with an ability to distil complex ideas to their essencePreferred QualificationsExperience using Autodesk Software or AEC industry experience, working with related products and servicesExperience researching machine learning enabled servicesExperience researching platform products and cloud servicesUniversity degree in cognitive or experimental psychology, human computer interaction, human factors (or related field)Experience researching multichannel experiencesFamiliarity with Lean UX and Lean Research methodologies#LI-Hybrid#LI-CD2Learn MoreAbout AutodeskWelcome to Autodesk!
