You will support the Data Steward program which will primarily focus on execution of data change requests and necessary data entry. Secondary responsibilities include input to the prioritization of data and process challenges with Data Owners, in pursuit of higher quality enterprise data. This role will partner in the socialization of these efforts with other Data Management resources.Primary responsibilities:Monitor and execute the workflow process for new data requests, changes, and deletions and entering (build / change / delete) data in appropriate systems.Knowledge of managing ticketing systems and backlogs (ServiceNow)Internet research, address validation and Microsoft Excel knowledgeIdentify patterns in data issues and present to DM team.Develop and lead customer master workstreams for quality definition and improvement efforts including Process Owners, SMEs, and Functional Data StewardsBuild trust and expertise through ongoing coordination with Process Owners, SMEs, Analysts, and Functional Data StewardsIdentify and execute robust continuous improvement opportunities within the data management processes in the applicable systems.Closely monitor and identify missing or incorrect master data via defined processes, reports, or toolsWorking with other Data Stewards to analyze data for quality and balancing data issues.Ensure the data quality across applications and initiate the appropriate corrective actions or applicable escalation help chains to enable success.Monitor the workflow process for new data requests, changes, and deletions and entering (build / change / delete) data in appropriate systems.Closely interact with business and provide master data subject matter expert input to various project teams as it relates to master data management and governance.Positively contribute to project success in line with F5 values, fostering collaboration.Ownership of operational tasks and support team with daily activities in their absence.Be a point of contact to guide/support/onboard and for Smooth transfer of knowledge/responsibilities for new team members.Creating and maintaining consistent reference data and master data definitionsKnowledge, skills and abilities to be successful:Proven attention to detail, with ability to “dive deep” into data issues to find root causes that lead to quality/process improvement.Demonstrated ability to collaborate, listen and influence across organizational boundaries.Demonstrated ability to lead teams focused on data quality improvement efforts.Positive, self-motivated, flexible, persistent, with good interpersonal skillsKnowledge of MDM principles and workflows (especially Customer MDM)Knowledge of enterprise MDM tool suites such as Informatica, Oracle, etc.Demonstrated ability to perform basic SQL querying.SharePoint, ServiceNow, Excel PowerBI, and Tableau knowledge (preferred)Understanding of Business Transactional Systems (such as Salesforce, Oracle EBS, Siebel CRM)Previous work experience in data quality space leveraging third-party reference data such as Dun & Bradstreet, and Acxiom and conducting quality reviews comparing master data against transactional systems.Deep knowledge of customer installs base/asset management processes and best practices, inclusive of constraints, compliance, and associated downstream implications.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business/Economics/Finance, Math/Statistics, MIS, or other computational field of study (preferred)Minimum 4 years of experience in Data Management and Governance positionPhysical demands and work environment:Duties are performed in Seattle in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.
