The Automotive Vehicles perception systems engineering team is searching for a creative and experienced Perception Systems Engineer to help us bring NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle solution out to the world. You will participate in a focused effort to develop and productize ground-breaking perception solutions that will redefine the world of transportation and the growing field of self-driving cars. You will work with a diverse international team of systems engineers, AI applied researchers and software engineers in building a world-class perception solution, while achieving or exceeding all NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines. Come join our team!What you will be doing:Develop perception system requirements from use cases and customer requirementsDevelop analysis and test evaluation tools to analyze performance requirements and assign performance budgets.Work with engineers to formulate test cases and critical metrics to ensure compliance with requirementsWork closely with a world-wide perception team to ensure consistency and completeness of requirements and priorities across perceptionFind innovative solutions to constantly improve our processes for both requirements decomposition, traceability and verificationBuild lasting relationships with all relevant partners across the organizationCultivate systems engineering mentality within the organizationWhat we need to see:BS, MS, or PhD in Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or another related field or equivalent experience8+ years experience in systems engineering or software engineering for complex systems, systems analysis (e.g. error budget creation, modeling of scenarios), data analysis, and statistical analysis.Expert in Systems Engineering principles and various product life-cyclesSolid understanding of failure analysis methodologies such as Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive alignment across large organizationsWays to stand out from the crowd:Experience with autonomous vehicles and/or machine learningYou have experience working with large datasets, SQL and Python or C++Software engineering experienceExperience using Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) using SysMLWe are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.
