The Autonomous Vehicles team at our Shanghai office is looking for a creative and experienced Software Systems Engineer to advance NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle solution on a global scale. This role offers the opportunity to be at the forefront of the transportation revolution, focusing on self-driving cars. You will join a dedicated, multi-functional team working on various vehicle subsystems, ensuring their integration into our AV SW platform aligns with NVIDIA and automotive standards & guidelines.What you will be doing:Develop comprehensive, stable, traceable requirements to enable algorithm development with clear performance goals in mindLead and communicate data analysis to provide product and engineering teams with all the information vital to know why a particular decision is or is not acceptableLead the development of interfaces across abstraction layers with OEM partners to ensure stable and extensible algorithmic developmentDevelop methods to analyze and compare the impact of ODDs on relevant performance metrics, translating data and analysis into impactful recommendationsPrototype & pilot new/improved processes to unblock product execution, and mature them to the point where they can be mostly automated and/or delegatedDrive autonomous vehicle safety system verification activities, including architecture and design verification, test strategy development working with the Safety System Integration & Verification Test Lead, and reviewing and triaging test resultsAdapt our advanced "L2++" urban driving autonomy product to the Chinese marketWhat we need to see:BS, MS, or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Physics, Computer Science, or another related field, or equivalent experience5+ years experience in relevant rolesDemonstrated experience in systems engineering, robotics, systems analysis, data analysis, or statistical analysisStrong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to drive alignment across large organizationsWays to stand out from the crowd:Experience with autonomous vehicles and/or machine learningYou have experience working with large datasets, SQL and Python or C++Model Based Systems Engineering experience, especially with Magic Cyber Systems EngineerFamiliarity or experience in automotive software development and ISO 26262Experience with start-ups and/or early-stage products
