NVIDIA’s robotics platform Isaac is a fast progressing effort inside the company and will have a decisive impact on the future progress of the robotics industry. In the MapShop team, you will have the chance to work with the state of art algorithm to solve the robotics mapping problem based on camera, LiDAR, Radar sensor data, etc. You will be able to contribute to the next exciting industry in the world. We are looking for software engineer interns to optimize our pipeline to improve the point cloud data processing and point cloud/image data fusion.What You'll Be Doing:Work closely with the robotics mapping team to iteratively improve the robotics point cloud processing algorithmsFollow up with the industry leading point cloud/image fusion related works and try to integrate them to the Isaac robotics platformBuild pipelines to process multiple sensor data and continuously improve robotics software and hardwareWhat we need to see:PhD degree in computer science, computer engineering or equivalent experienceStrong programming skills (C++, Python)Experience with autonomous vehicles or mobile robotics, especially with machine learning based point cloud or image processingStrong design, coding and debugging skillsStrong communication and teamwork skills, as we work as a tightly knit team, always discussing and learning from each otherHighly motivated, passionate and curious about new technologies.
