Now, NVIDIA’s GPU runs Deep Learning algorithms, simulating human intelligence, and acts as the brain of computers, robots and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world.We are now looking for an extraordinary expert in multi-sensor fusion as a Principal Software Engineer for both Dynamic obstacles and Static World perception to develop and productize NVIDIA's autonomous driving solutions. As a core member of our perception team, you will work on building world class solutions for the dynamic obstacles (Cars/SUVs/Vans, trucks, buses, cyclists, and pedestrians) and the static world representation (SWR) (including but not limited to curb, fence, traffic cones/barrels, lane dividers, warning/hazard triangle signs, toll-booth, and other unclassified road hazards) by tracking and fusing multiple frames from multiple sources (cameras, radars, Lidars, and ultrasonic sensors) of detections. You will provide technical leadership, architect innovative solutions, and promote good engineering practice to improve robustness and accuracy as well as efficiency of the solutions to fully enable autonomous driving anywhere and anytime.What You'll Be Doing:Design and develop a robust tracking and fusion algorithm that improves the accuracy and consistency of the obstacle perception output, both dynamic and static. Identify and analyze the strength and weakness of the developed multi-sensor fusion solutions under complicated and diverse scenarios.Productize the developed perception solutions by meeting product requirements for safety, latency, and SW robustness.Define and develop meaningful performance metrics for the perception of multi-sensor fusion, which guide the algorithm iterations and prevent regression with large-scale offline data sets.What We Need To See:BS/MS/PhD in CS, EE, sciences or related fields (or equivalent experience)5+ years of hands-on work experience in developing fusion and multi-object tracking solutions to solve sophisticated real world problems, and 15+ years of total working experience in related fields. Strong leadership with technical depth/breadth and leadership skills to bridge various functional teams, including both technical and non-technical partners.Excellent working knowledge with common data association and fusion algorithms, and deep understanding of weakness and strength of each sensing modality.Experience in data-driven development and collaboration with data and ground truth teams.Strong programming skills in modern C++.Outstanding communication and teamwork skills as we work as a tightly-knit team, always discussing and learning from each other.Ways To Stand Out From The Crowd:Proven expertise in developing mass-production perception solutions for autonomous driving or robotics.Experiences of leading the execution of a productive technical team that delivered a SOP-ed ADAS product.
