Legal Contracts ManagerDescription -Contracts Team – Position Description (SPE)All Contracts Team personnel are part of a global contracting function within the Global Indirect Procurement (GIP) organization.  The execution of the role, and the primary contracting responsibilities, depend on the Category or Regional area assigned.   Contracts Team members at this level should expect; involvement in low risk negotiations, interaction with GIP to assist with template selection and navigation of Contracts Library and documentation. Ownership of Contracts Library documentation, share points, etc., interacting with Legal and SME’s as required.Negotiations: Contract Team members are accountable for the terms and conditions of all strategic supplier relationships.  In this capacity, Contracts Team members are responsible for understanding basic contract terms, HP’s position on those contact terms, assisting GIP with appropriate template selection, simple negotiations, managing the Contacts Library webpages, including the Signature Search tool.Subject Matter Expert (SME): Contract Team members will be given a subject to focus on and work directly with the Global Function SME to bring updates, risk mitigation, compliance and training to GIP.  In this capacity, the Contracts Team members will work directly with GIP teams (i.e., Solutions, Finance, etc.) to ensure the Contacts Library webpages are accurate and up to date.Strategic Projects: Contract Team members may be asked to assist with projects. Having a solid foundation of cause and effect thinking, ability to prepare and deliver materials, simple negotiations, take part in working sessions are key requirements.Drafting:  Contracts Team members are accountable for the development of customized and simplified contract templates.  In this capacity, the Contracts Team members will be responsible for the implementation of new templates and updates to templates if terms revisions are required.Presentations:Contracts Team members must be able to proficiently express ideas, legal terms and risks to all levels of HP both verbally, written and in conversation. At this level being able to concisely present ideas in the appropriate format is expected.Contracts Training:Contracts Team members will be asked to work independently to provide training and mentoring to Category Teams on appropriate templates, Contracts Library usage, Signature Search Tool.Substantive Knowledge: Understanding of basic contracts terms and conditionsDrafting using Microsoft WordApplication of cause and effect thinkingRecommended Experience and QualificationsBachelor's (undergraduate) or 2 years equivalent experienceGood communication skills (English)Comprehensive understanding of contractsStrong capacity for evaluating supplier pushback and developing solutionsDemonstrated problem-solving abilityStrong Team work, partnering skills and relationship buildingJob -Supply Chain & OperationsSchedule -Full timeShift -No shift premium (Mexico)Travel -Relocation -EEO Tagline - HP Inc. is EEO F/M/Protected Veteran/ Individual with Disabilities.
