Our division provides electronic payments and banking solutions in SaaS using AI/ML to determine risk. This position is for a Principal DevOps Engineer who will work with our operations, engineering, and development teams and lead the modernization of our solutions. The successful candidate will have in depth knowledge of cloud computing, infrastructure as code principles, source code control, engineering CI/CD pipelines, and automated workflows.ResponsibilitiesBuild out innovative, secure, highly available, and supportable infrastructure, middleware, and application software (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).Drive design and implementation of next-gen service architecture, monitoring tools, and automation strategies.Design, implement and automate procedures for deployment, configuration, patching, and upgrading of systems and applications.Leverage strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with previous experience tackling and solving complex problems.Conduct analysis of production systems and performance testing results to identify areas of improvement within the application or infrastructure.Conduct feasibility studies for existing and emerging technologies.Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.Provide problem analysis, troubleshooting, and service recovery services. Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours.Participate in an on-call rotation. Willingness to participate in escalated issues as requiredRequirementsBachelor's Degree in Computer Science and/or Engineering strongly preferred and 12+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.10+ years of Systems Engineering in 24x7 Production Services environments.5+ years of experience building kubernetes deployments, using Helm Charts or docker-composeDeep hands-on understanding of Cloud Architecture and Operations, including migration, resilience, maintainability, monitoring and cost-efficiency.Experience working with Infrastructure as Code to automate design patterns and configuration management through the full lifecyclePassionate about automation, smart monitoring, intelligent alerting, and streamlining system provisioning.Ability to write robust, maintainable code in Terraform, Ansible, Python, and/or Bash.Experience operating in an enterprise system with integrations and web services (SOAP, REST) Experience working in Agile and DevOps environments.Mastery of application, data, and infrastructure architecture disciplinesExperience with modern DevOps tools and practices, including Git, Jenkins, automated testing, and continuous integration.Strong attention to detail and quality.Focus on predicting and preventing failures.Managing and/or influencing infrastructure services to ensure application service uptime and user experienceConsiderable depth in networking, security, middleware, and Linux technologies.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Additional Job Description:Compensation and BenefitsThe annual base salary range for this position is $111,000 - $185,000.This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.Broadcom offers a competitive and comprehensive benefits package: Medical, dental and vision plans, 401(K) participation including company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company paid holidays, paid sick leave and vacation time.
